Who Yadu is
Yadu was the eldest son of King Yayati and Devayani. When Yayati, cursed by Shukracharya with sudden old age, asked his sons to give him their youth in exchange, Yadu refused, saying he wished to enjoy his own youth. Yayati cursed him that his descendants would not hold the throne, and gave the kingdom to his youngest son Puru. From Yadu came the Yadava line, among whom Krishna would be born.
“What is mine stays mine. I will not trade it away.”
