Who Andhaka is

Andhaka was born blind and was raised among the asuras by Hiranyaksha, becoming a mighty asura king through austerities and boons. Blind also in judgement, he grew proud and demanded that Parvati be brought to him, and made war on Shiva. Shiva struck him with his trident and held him aloft for ages, and in that long ordeal Andhaka's pride burned away; he sang Shiva's praises, was forgiven, and became one of Shiva's attendants.

“I do not need to see your threats to defeat you.”

How Andhaka plays chess

Plays without seeing: bold moves that ignore your threats, until a long struggle humbles him.

The Classicist: Sound, balanced chess: develops, castles and takes what the position offers.

Opening repertoire: Grob Gambit · Polish Opening · Barnes Opening

Defeat Andhaka in a full game from the normal starting position to earn the achievement Eyes Opened and open the way to the next guardian.
