Dhaumya
Who Dhaumya is
Dhaumya was the family priest of the Pandavas, whom they chose on the advice of the gandharva Chitraratha. He performed their rites, went with them into their twelve years of exile in the forest, and before their year in disguise gave them careful counsel on how to live unnoticed in the service of a king — to speak little, never to presume, and to serve without seeking favour. He performed the last rites for the fallen after the war.
“Speak little, serve well, and draw no notice. So I play.”
