Dhrishtadyumna
Who Dhrishtadyumna is
Dhrishtadyumna rose from the sacrificial fire of King Drupada, born armed and armoured, together with his sister Draupadi. Drona, though aware of the prophecy that this prince was born to slay him, still accepted him as a pupil and taught him the art of war. He was chosen as supreme commander of the Pandava armies for the whole of the Kurukshetra war, and on the fifteenth day he fulfilled the prophecy of his birth.
“I was born from the fire for a purpose. Today my purpose is to lead this army against you.”
