Who Dvivida is
Dvivida, twin brother of Mainda, fought bravely for Rama in the war for Lanka. Long afterwards, according to the Bhagavata Purana, he became a friend of the asura Narakasura and, after Naraka's death, turned to mischief in revenge, ravaging villages and hermitages. He insulted Balarama at Raivataka hill and was killed by him in a fight of trees and boulders. His story shows how far a hero may fall.
“I once fought for the right side. Today I fight for mischief.”
