Kalayavana
Who Kalayavana is
Kalayavana was a foreign king who, allied with Jarasandha, besieged Mathura with a vast army and a boon that no Yadava could kill him. Krishna came out unarmed and ran, and Kalayavana pursued him on foot into a mountain cave. There lay the ancient king Muchukunda, who had been granted undisturbed sleep after aiding the gods. Mistaking the sleeper for Krishna, Kalayavana kicked him awake, and Muchukunda's gaze burned him to ashes.
“Run if you like. I never stop chasing.”
