Who Kaushalya is

Kaushalya was the chief queen of King Dasharatha and the mother of Rama. When Kaikeyi's boons sent Rama into exile, Kaushalya begged to go with him to the forest, but Rama told her that her duty was to remain with his grieving father. She blessed him for his journey and endured fourteen years of separation, comforted Dasharatha in his dying grief, and lived to welcome Rama home and see him crowned king of Ayodhya.

“I waited fourteen years for my son. I can wait out any game.”
