Kuntibhoja
Who Kuntibhoja is
Kuntibhoja was a childless king to whom his cousin Shura gave his daughter Pritha, who was raised as his own and became known as Kunti. In Kuntibhoja's house she served the irascible sage Durvasa so faithfully that he gave her a mantra to call any god to give her a son. Kuntibhoja later arranged her svayamvara, where she chose King Pandu, and in his old age he brought his forces to fight for his grandsons, the Pandavas, at Kurukshetra.
“I raised another’s child as my own. Every piece here has my care.”
