Who Mainda is

Mainda and his twin brother Dvivida were vanara warriors said to be sons of the Ashvins, the divine twin physicians. Mainda fought in Sugriva's army in the war for Lanka, among the leaders of the vanara host, and was wounded by Kumbha's arrows in the battle before Kumbha fell to Sugriva. The twins were renowned for their strength and for a boon of near-immortality granted by Brahma.

“My brother and I fight as one. Watch both of us.”
