Rishyashringa
Who Rishyashringa is
Rishyashringa, son of the sage Vibhandaka, was raised alone in the forest and had never seen a woman or a town. Because his presence would bring rain, the drought-stricken king of Anga sent maidens to lure him to the city, and when he arrived the rains fell. He married the princess Shanta, and later performed for King Dasharatha the putrakameshti sacrifice, from whose sacred fire came the offering that blessed Dasharatha's queens with four sons.
“I know little of the world. I know only how to play rightly.”
