Rohitashva
Who Rohitashva is
Rohitashva was the son of King Harishchandra, the king who would not break his word. When Harishchandra gave away his kingdom to Vishvamitra and sold himself and his family to pay the sage's fee, the boy and his mother Taramati became servants in the house of a brahmin. One day Rohitashva was bitten by a snake and died. His mother carried him to the cremation ground, where Harishchandra, now its keeper, asked even her for the fee. The gods, moved by his truthfulness, appeared and restored the boy to life.
“My father taught me that truth is worth any price. I play truthfully.”
