Ruchika
Who Ruchika is
Ruchika was a sage of the Bhrigu line who sought the hand of Satyavati, daughter of King Gadhi; as a bride-price the king demanded a thousand white horses each with one black ear, which Ruchika obtained by the grace of Varuna. He prepared two sacred offerings for sons: one for Satyavati, to bear a peaceful sage, and one for her mother, to bear a warrior king. The two offerings were exchanged, and so Gadhi's son became the warrior who became a sage, Vishvamitra, while Satyavati's line, through Jamadagni, gave birth to the warrior-sage Parashurama.
“I have prepared two plans. Which one will come to life?”
