Who Sutikshna is

Sutikshna was an ascetic sage, a disciple of Agastya, whose hermitage Rama, Sita and Lakshmana visited during their wandering in the Dandaka forest. He welcomed Rama with great joy, saying he had been waiting for him, and offered him the merit of all his austerities. Rama stayed with him and visited the other hermitages nearby, and when he wished to meet Agastya, Sutikshna told him the way to his teacher's hermitage.

“I play as my teacher taught me. Every move from the book.”
