Who Tataka is
Tataka was born a yakshi, the daughter of Suketu, granted the strength of a thousand elephants. When her husband Sunda was killed and she and her sons attacked the sage Agastya in their rage, he cursed them to become rakshasas. She laid waste to the once-thriving lands that came to bear her name, until the young Rama, sent by the sage Vishvamitra to protect his sacrifice, met her in that forest and, at Vishvamitra's urging, slew her.
“No traveller passes through my forest unharmed. Step in, if you dare.”
How Tataka plays chess
Raw, wild strength from the very first move: she storms out of the forest with gambits and leaves her own camp wide open.
The Classicist: Sound, balanced chess: develops, castles and takes what the position offers.
Opening repertoire: Latvian Gambit · Elephant Gambit · Englund Gambit
Defeat Tataka in a full game from the normal starting position to earn the achievement The Forest Made Safe and open the way to the next guardian.
