Who Usha is
Usha was the daughter of Banasura, the thousand-armed asura king. She dreamed of a handsome prince she had never seen and woke longing for him. Her friend Chitralekha, a gifted painter and yogini, drew the faces of gods, gandharvas and princes until Usha pointed to Aniruddha, grandson of Krishna. Chitralekha brought him secretly to Usha's chamber. After the war that followed, Bana's life was spared, and Usha and Aniruddha were married.
