Who Uttarā is
Uttarā, daughter of King Virata of Matsya, learned music and dance from the eunuch Brihannala — Arjuna in disguise during the Pandavas' year of hiding. When the Pandavas revealed themselves, Arjuna asked for her hand for his son Abhimanyu, and she became his young wife. Abhimanyu fell at Kurukshetra while she was with child, and after the war Ashwatthama's terrible weapon struck the child in her womb; Krishna revived him, and he was born as Parikshit, heir to the Kuru throne.
“I learned grace from a great teacher. Let us play gracefully.”
