Yudhishthira
Who Yudhishthira is
Eldest of the Pandavas and son of Kunti through the god Dharma, Yudhishthira was called Dharmaraja for his devotion to truth and right conduct. At an enchanted lake in the forest he answered the questions of a Yaksha and won back the lives of his brothers (Vana Parva). After the war he received long instruction from Bhishma on kingship and dharma (Shanti Parva), and on his final journey he would not enter heaven without the dog that had followed him faithfully (Mahaprasthanika Parva).
“Ask what you will, and I will answer with truthful moves. There is no trick on this board, only dharma.”
