Who Ajamila is
Ajamila was a learned brahmin who fell from virtue, abandoned his wife and lived by cheating and theft. He named his youngest son Narayana and doted on him. On his deathbed, terrified by the messengers of Yama, he called out to his son, 'Narayana!' — and the messengers of Vishnu appeared and stopped Yama's servants, saying that the holy name, even spoken unknowingly, had freed him. Ajamila recovered, renounced his old life, and spent his last years in devotion at Haridvara.
“My openings are poor, I admit. But one good move can save anyone.”
