Who Babruvahana is
Babruvahana was the son of Arjuna and Chitrangada and became king of Manipura, continuing his grandfather’s line. When Arjuna arrived following Yudhishthira’s sacrificial horse, Babruvahana came out humbly to greet him, but Arjuna rebuked him for not meeting him as a warrior should. Urged by Ulupi, he fought his father and struck him down, and in great grief prepared to die, until Ulupi restored Arjuna to life.
“I would greet you with honour, but you have come to fight. Then a fight you shall have.”
