Who Bharadvaja is
Bharadvaja was a Rigvedic seer, to whose family the sixth book of the Rigveda belongs. His hermitage stood at Prayaga, where the Ganga meets the Yamuna. He received Rama, Sita and Lakshmana there at the start of their exile and advised them to dwell at Chitrakuta. When Bharata followed with the whole army of Ayodhya, Bharadvaja called on the gods and by his power prepared a feast fit for heaven for every soldier.
“Welcome, guest. Every piece shall have its feast today.”
