Who Bhima is
Bhima, second of the Pandavas, was born to Kunti through the blessing of Vayu, the wind god, and is called Vrikodara, "wolf-bellied", for his mighty appetite. The Mahabharata tells of his tremendous strength: he carried his mother and brothers out of the burning house of lac, and he overcame Hidimba, Baka, Kichaka and Jarasandha. He was the Pandavas' foremost mace-warrior, and on the eighteenth day he fulfilled his vow in the great mace duel with Duryodhana.
“I do not hide behind clever schemes. Here I come, straight at you!”
