Chanura
Who Chanura is
Chanura was the chief wrestler of King Kamsa, who staged a great wrestling festival in Mathura to lure the young Krishna and Balarama into his power. After the brothers killed the royal elephant at the arena gate, Chanura challenged Krishna to a bout before the crowd. The people murmured that it was an unfair match between a giant and a boy, but Krishna wrestled him to the ground and killed him, while Balarama overcame Mushtika.
“Step into the ring. I have never been thrown.”
