Who Draupadi is
Draupadi, also called Krishnaa and Panchali, rose from the sacrificial fire of King Drupada. Won by Arjuna at her svayamvara, she became the wife of all five Pandavas. When Yudhishthira lost her at dice, she was dragged into the Kaurava assembly by Dushasana, and she challenged the elders with a question none could answer: could a man who had lost himself still stake his wife? As Dushasana tried to strip her, her garment became endless. She vowed not to bind her hair until it was washed in his blood — a vow fulfilled at Kurukshetra.
“I asked a question that silenced kings. Now I ask your position one.”
