Who Gavaksha is

Gavaksha was a leader of the golangulas, the vanaras with tails like a cow's, who came with a great host to join Sugriva's army when it gathered to search for Sita and march on Lanka. Named among the foremost captains of the vanara host, he fought through the great battles before the walls of Lanka beside Nila, Angada and the other chiefs, until Ravana's champions had fallen.

“My troops hold the line. Show me where you will break through.”
