Hidimbi
Who Hidimbi is
Hidimbi was a rakshasi who lived in a great forest with her brother Hidimba. Sent by him to approach the sleeping Pandavas after their escape from the house of lac, she instead fell in love with Bhima and warned them of her brother. After Bhima defeated Hidimba, she married Bhima with the consent of Kunti and Yudhishthira, and became the mother of the mighty Ghatotkacha.
“This forest is my home. Walk carefully here.”
How Hidimbi plays chess
Changeable and surprising: her early moves take one shape and then transform into another, as she herself took human form.
The Trickster: Keeps pieces on and the position tangled, hunting for tricks in every line.
Opening repertoire: Scandinavian Defence · Nimzowitsch Defence
Defeat Hidimbi in a full game from the normal starting position to earn the achievement Heart of the Forest and open the way to the next guardian.
