Who Ulupi is
Ulupi, daughter of the Naga king Kauravya, met Arjuna while he bathed in the Ganga during his pilgrimage and drew him down to her father’s palace beneath the waters, where they were married. She was the mother of Iravan. Years later, when Arjuna fell in battle against his son Babruvahana, Ulupi revived him with a Naga jewel and explained that this had freed him from a curse.
“Come down beneath the waters. The board looks different from here.”
How Ulupi plays chess

The Trickster: Keeps pieces on and the position tangled, hunting for tricks in every line.
Opening repertoire: Alekhine Defence · Bogo-Indian Defence
