Who Kaikasi is

Kaikasi, daughter of the rakshasa lord Sumali, was sent by her father to win the sage Vishravas, hoping she would bear sons as mighty as Kubera. She approached the sage at the inauspicious hour of evening, and he foretold that her sons would be fierce and cruel, but granted that the youngest would be righteous. She bore Ravana, Kumbhakarna, Shurpanakha and Vibhishana, and urged the young Ravana to rival his half-brother Kubera.

“I raise my pieces for greatness. Watch them grow.”

How Kaikasi plays chess

Ambitious for her pieces: develops them for a grand future rather than for today.

The Classicist: Sound, balanced chess: develops, castles and takes what the position offers.

Opening repertoire: Sicilian, Richter-Rauzer · King's Indian, Fianchetto · Ruy Lopez, Smyslov

Defeat Kaikasi in a full game from the normal starting position to earn the achievement The Hour of Dusk and open the way to the next guardian.
