Kirmira
Who Kirmira is
Kirmira, brother of Bakasura and friend of Hidimba, met the Pandavas at night as they entered the Kamyaka forest at the beginning of their twelve years of exile. He blocked their path, roaring that he would avenge his brother and his friend. Bhima uprooted a tree to fight him, and after a terrible struggle he crushed the rakshasa. Vidura later told the tale to Dhritarashtra.
“None shall pass into this forest. Turn back.”
