Who Mandodari is
Mandodari, chief queen of Ravana and mother of Indrajit, was the daughter of the architect Maya and the apsara Hema. When Hanuman searched Ravana's palace, her beauty and dignity were such that he wondered for a moment whether she was Sita. After the war she mourned Ravana on the battlefield, lamenting both his great might and the error that brought about his fall.
“In Lanka I have seen great power undone by a single error. Let us see if you avoid it.”
