Who Raktabija is
Raktabija was an asura general of Shumbha who had a terrible gift: every drop of his blood that touched the ground rose up as another Raktabija. As the Goddess and her Shaktis wounded him, the battlefield filled with his doubles. Then the Goddess bade Kali open her mouth wide and drink every drop before it fell, and with no more doubles springing up, Raktabija was slain.
“Strike me and two of me rise. Shall we begin?”
