Shumbha
Who Shumbha is
Shumbha and his brother Nishumbha seized the three worlds and the treasures of the gods. When his servants told him of a radiant goddess in the Himalayas, Shumbha sent a message demanding that she become his queen. She replied that by a vow made long ago she would marry only one who defeated her in battle. Shumbha sent his generals and then his brother against her, and when all had fallen he fought her himself, flying with her into the sky, where she struck him down with her trident.
“All three worlds are mine. You will be mine too, or fall.”
