Who Ruma is
Ruma was the wife of the vanara prince Sugriva. When Vali, believing Sugriva had betrayed him, drove his brother from Kishkindha, he also took Ruma from him. Sugriva's grief over losing his kingdom and his wife formed the bond with Rama, who had also lost his wife; after Rama slew Vali, Ruma was restored to Sugriva and he was crowned king.
