Who Ugrasena is
Ugrasena was the king of the Yadavas at Mathura and the father of Kamsa. His tyrannical son seized the throne and threw him into prison. After Krishna slew Kamsa, he freed his grandfather-in-law Ugrasena and restored him to the throne, saying that the Yadavas should be ruled by their elder. Ugrasena reigned in Mathura and later in Dvaraka, with Krishna and Balarama serving the kingdom under him.
“I was imprisoned by my own son. I know how to endure.”
